Malia is a fantastic location, with charming traditional streets just a short walk away. Love the food at nearby restaurants, especially at the LOFT. The atmosphere around the pool is nice for families, and the pool itself is a decent size. Enjoyed chatting with Billy, the owner, who is really friendly and attentive to guests. The Duplex Quadruple Room is spacious, which is great if you're traveling solo or with friends. Beach access is also just a stroll away. I did encounter a few issues. The bathroom had broken tiles, and there was a musty smell in the wardrobe. The curtains were too small, and I had to use a bed sheet for privacy. Some nights got noisy with young guests by the pool, and there were pesky mosquitoes, which made things a bit uncomfortable.

Malia is an incredible place, especially with all the traditional streets full of restaurants just a short walk away. The pool was nice, making it a good spot for families, and I found the room decent with enough space. What really stood out was how close everything was—the beach and shops are just a stroll away. The LOFT restaurant had exceptional service which I highly recommend. It’s a great home base for exploring the vibrant nightlife too, thanks to Billy, the owner, who is super friendly and welcoming. Just be prepared for some unexpected city tax and possibly extra charges for air conditioning.

The Duplex Quadruple Room offers decent space and a nice setup for those traveling solo or in groups. It’s great for a base to explore, especially with some of the major attractions not too far away.
There are some quirks to consider. The bathroom tiles were broken, and there was a noticeable musty smell in the wardrobe. The curtains were too small, making privacy a task as a bed sheet had to be used instead. Add in noise from young guests by the pool and some pesky mosquitoes, and you may have a mixed bag on your hands.
